Our mission is to raise £1million to build our first "European Standard" school which will be in the Gambia.
This money will not only build the actual school, but also fully equip it with modern IT and highly educated staff who, to begin with, will be aided by fully qualified volunteer teachers from both state and private schools in Britain.
With this kind of start in life, African children will be far less disadvantaged when in comes to competing for jobs both with the wealthy in their own country (who attend beautiful schools with international teachers) and indeed on the international market.
Although our first school will be built in the Gambia (as it is the main country in which we have managed to establish contacts and get locals on board), we aim to build many more throughout the continent with projects in Uganda, Niger, Kenya, Ghana, Zambia and Tanzania already being sought.
This Can Be Done!
£1 Million may seem like a daunting figure.
However, we are attacking this from many angles!
Traditional Fund raising is our first port of call and has so far raised over 2000 pounds!
We feel that the best source of income is definitely Facebook!
If we can get 1 million fans (which surprisingly isn't that many) to give £1 each we've already reached our first target without wasting useful money on advertising!
