We don't do things by halves.
There are many charities out there that want to help with Africa's future by building much needed schools. There is, however, not much to distinguish them from each other.
At BESSA, on the other hand, we see a problem. Although these various charities do build some sort of building where children can be taught certain things, the 99 percent are nothing like the standard of school we would expect for our own children. Many are essentially mud huts with desks in them that still manage to cost over £100,000 to build. In our opinion, this is not the best investment of that amount of money. |
