Buillding European Standard Schools in Africa.

We don't do things by halves.

There are many charities out there that want to help with Africa's future by building much needed schools. There is, however, not much to distinguish them from each other.

At BESSA, on the other hand, we see a problem. Although these various charities do build some sort of  building where children can be taught certain things, the 99 percent are nothing like the standard of school we would expect for our own children. Many are essentially mud huts with desks in them that still manage to cost over £100,000 to build. In our opinion, this is not the best investment of that amount of money.

To build our first European Standard School in Africa we are looking to raise £1million. This may seem like a lot of money but I might remind you that to build this sort of size and quality school in England would cost in the region of £12-16 million. This is an investment in Africa's future.
